The Forget For A Moment Foundation is pleased to announce that, thanks to a generous contribution from Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, six long-term care residences across Ontario will benefit from the Blooming Moments Healthcare Planter Program this fall.
These six residences, which have already received a JASMA Healthcare Planter, will now have the opportunity to fully experience the benefits of this specially designed planter, making indoor gardening accessible to seniors, including those with limited mobility.
Pendant quatre semaines consécutives, jusqu'à 12 résidents par groupe participeront à des activités horticoles adaptées, animées par des personnes qualifiées. Plantation, exploration sensorielle, entretien des végétaux et partage de souvenirs deviennent autant d'occasions de stimuler les sens, réduire le stress, raviver les souvenirs et renforcer les liens sociaux.
Cette nouvelle contribution s'inscrit dans la continuité de l'engagement de la Caisse Desjardins Ontario, qui a déjà soutenu le déploiement des Jardinières-Santé JASMA dans les milieux de soins ontariens.
