When Art and Nature Come Together

We are delighted to announce “The Creativity of Plants,” a digital exhibition curated from the 2025 International Call for Artists by Artists for Plants, presented in partnership with the Ottawa Art Gallery and sponsored by Collège La Cité.

Come discover how art and the plant world intertwine in unexpected and meaningful ways—and how creativity can transform our relationship with nature, health, and healing.

This unique exhibition brings together 31 artists from around the world, each exploring their deep connection with nature. Through their works, these artists remind us that plants are not only essential to life on Earth, but also a source of inspiration, comfort, and healing.

The exhibition will be held at the Ottawa Art Gallery from April 22 to May 24, 2026.

Come experience this moment where art and nature meet in one place.

Special thanks to our partner, Ottawa Art Gallery.

Additional thanks to: Ritchie Feed & Seed, Master Gardeners Ottawa–Carleton, The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care, Root in Nature, Gardening Calendar, and Paper Signman.

EN Creativity of Plants

On the occasion of The Creativity of Plants exhibition, the Forget For A Moment Foundation is launching its spring fundraising campaign—an invitation to take meaningful action to support the well-being of those most vulnerable.

We have set a goal of $20,000 to grow our Blooming Moments program and provide more JASMA Healthcare Planters to healthcare and long-term care settings. Through these initiatives, many individuals without access to outdoor spaces can reconnect with the plant world in ways that are accessible, meaningful, and enriching.

Your donation helps bring nature to places where it is often out of reach.

For many, these initiatives represent far more than simple contact with plants: they awaken memories, soothe the mind, and restore essential connections with the living world.

Every donation counts and helps create moments of presence, calm, and reconnection for those who need it most.

Together, let’s bring nature into care environments and transform lives.

Make A Difference

The Forget For A Moment Performance

In parallel with The Creativity of Plants exhibition, the Foundation presents the Forget For A Moment Performance, a series of musical moments imbued with gentleness and humanity, offered in seven long-term care residences across the city of Ottawa.

From April 23 to 27, in collaboration with Artists for Plants, Italian violinist and composer Sara Michieletto, co-founder of the collective, will meet residents to offer solo violin performances that are intimate, sensitive, and thoughtfully adapted to each living environment.

As an extension of the Blooming Moments program, these suspended moments weave a delicate connection between music and the living world. They invite us to slow down, to feel, to remember—and, for a moment, to reconnect with ourselves and with one another.

Farewell and A Warm Welcome To Our Interns

We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Collège La Cité student Rayan Mahiddine, and we greatly appreciate the time and contributions he dedicated to the Foundation. His support in managing our social media has been invaluable, and we wish him every success in the next steps of his career.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome new team members from Algonquin College and Collège La Cité as we continue our spring fundraising campaign and prepare for the launch of The Creativity of Plants exhibition.

Welcome to Zoé Proulx from Algonquin College, and Fetta Hade and Mounir Smail from Collège La Cité. We look forward to growing together and continuing to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Let's Grow Something Meaningful

Your generosity helps us expand meaningful programs that bring nature indoors, transforming everyday spaces into places of engagement and renewal. Through thoughtfully designed planters and guided activities, residents can rediscover the simple joy of nurturing life.

Every gift you make helps us:

• Introduce interactive gardening experiences tailored to varying abilities

• Create inviting green spaces that encourage connection and conversation

• Support mental and emotional wellness through hands-on nature-based activities

• Extend these opportunities to more healthcare communities in need

Giving is more than a transaction—it’s an opportunity to be part of something lasting. When you contribute, you’re helping cultivate moments of peace, curiosity, and shared experience for people who benefit deeply from them.

Whether it’s a one-time gift or ongoing support, your involvement helps these programs flourish and reach new communities.
