Ottawa, October 22, 2025 — The Forget For A Moment Foundation is proud to announce that 14 long-term care and health facilities across Ottawa will host the new and unique Blooming Moments – Healthcare Planter program until December 2025.
Made possible through the generous support of the Ottawa Community Foundation, this initiative builds on the success of the JASMA Healthcare Planter Project, which provided 30 mobile, height-adjustable indoor planters to healthcare settings throughout the region.
The Blooming Moments program offers a five-week indoor gardening experience that helps residents reconnect with nature, stimulate their senses, and enhance their overall well being. Led by horticulturists, master gardeners, or horticultural therapists, each session allows participants to rediscover the simple joys of plants and gardening through touch, conversation, memories, and stories.

About the Blooming Moments – Healthcare Planter Program
Offered by the Forget For a Moment Foundation, the Blooming Moments program enhances the impact of the JASMA Healthcare Planters by introducing guided, participatory indoor gardening activities within healthcare settings. Running through December 2025, 14
Ottawa healthcare establishments will take part in this free bilingual program, supported by the Ottawa Community Foundation.
